STONE ISLAND AND CP COMPANY INTERNET FORUM PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT.
Found NYC was an internet forum created in 2007 by an anonymous person living in New York going by the name “Gene”.
At it’s height it gained a cult following of almost 10,000 members in the UK and Europe; culminating in an exclusive collaboration with Massimo Osti Studios to produce a limited “one off” Found NYC x MA Strum jacket before closing down in 2010. Little evidence of this forum is left on the internet now apart from one archived “snapshot” and the odd photo with the tag “Found NYC”.
Over three years I photographed individual members and groups of this forum, both at social “meets” and at their homes. Having my camera with me allowed me privileged access to a world of Stone Island and CP Company aficionados from across the country.
Here at the Old Coffee House (SOHO, London) is where I first met with some of these forum members via a pre-arranged "meet". This was to be the starting and end point for my photographic project, culminating in a solo exhibition.
Thank you to all those who supported me on this project, and especially Hannah, my partner and mother to my three beautiful children.
